The Holley Tall Valve Covers do not have the hole on the top for the stock PCV. They do have a nipple on the back side of the driver’s side valve cover, which is perfect for an Oil Catch Can. In this video, I run an inline PCV from this nipple around the back of the block over to the front of the head on the passenger side to an oil catch can. The catch can catches the oil and then another line runs from the can to the top of the intake manifold. There is a 3rd line (the fresh air line) which is in the same location of the stock configuration.
Before I rebuilt my engine, it was consuming about a quart of oil per every oil change. It was not leaking oil so I know this oil was exiting the valve cover via the PCV and getting dumped directly back into the intake manifold. YUCK! All that excess oil and carbon back in to the intake manifold and the heads, not good!
I got the catch can for $30 and mounted it on the front of the passenger side head. Installation was cake and it looks nice too.
