Removing the spark plug coil packs was rather uneventful. Driver’s side was cake. Unplugging some of those GM sensors and couplers is often the biggest challenge. I learned along that way, that several of them (like the main coil pack sensor) has a retainer that you need to undo before you can separate the connector itself.
The passenger side was a bit trickier. There is a bracket that holds the 2 heater hoses that you have to remove (and not lose the nut); the oil dipstick gets in your way, so I undid it from the engine block; and the bolt closest to the firewall is a challenge. Other than that, it was not too bad of a process, even for a complete noob like me.
Note: if you were looking for spark plug removal, I did that in video 1.
